Putnam crash leaves bicyclist seriously injured
A bicyclist is currently recovering from serious injuries after colliding with a vehicle in Putnam on Monday morning, East Putnam firefighters said. At around 8:30 a.m., East Putnam firefighters responded to a 911 call at the intersection of Killingly Avenue and Hurry Hill Road, where the bicyclist was found with serious injuries. The bicyclist was taken to Day Kimball Hospital, then flown in a medical helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital for a higher level of care.
