Bey missed the 2024-25 season after sustaining a torn ACL while with the Atlanta Hawks, then returned for what the report describes as a resurgent first full season back with New Orleans. Bey was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the 2020 NBA draft. In 364 career games with the Pistons, Hawks and Pelicans, he has career averages of 14.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and two assists per game.
The Pelicans open their preseason schedule against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 6 and host the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 21 to open the regular season.
